Roasters Roastery is a shift-management app for a local coffee chain. Unlike the usual top-down rota, it lets part-time staff pick their preferred branch and schedule and request shifts themselves, which the manager then reviews and approves.
The aim was to make shifts simpler for staff and for admins at the same time — a calm, intuitive interface that reflects the brand. I looked after the whole journey, from wireframes and prototype to the final visual design, translating how the shops really run into an interface people could pick up quickly.
Give part-time staff real autonomy over their shifts while keeping the manager in control of approval — and keep dense views like the calendar and request history easy to scan.

The result is a shift system that is lighter to manage for admins and gives part-time staff more control over their own time — quick to onboard, with a clear navigation structure throughout.
